We want everyone to be able to browse, choose and order a modbox. That includes people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. It's the standard we design and test against. We haven't reached it everywhere yet, and the gaps we know about are listed below.

What we've done

In October 2026 we reviewed our shopping path against WCAG 2.1 AA, from the menu and product pages to the cart and checkout, and fixed what we found:

• Stronger contrast on our Add to Cart, Check Out and announcement-bar text.
• Visible keyboard focus on the cart's quantity buttons.
• Cart controls that say which item they change.
• A phone menu that opens, keeps focus inside, and closes with the keyboard.
• Contact-form errors that are announced.
• An announcement bar that no longer moves on its own.

What we're still working on

• Some product photos still have unclear descriptions.
• The product thumbnail strip works with a mouse or touch. With a keyboard, you reach the same photos in the main gallery.
• We haven't yet tested with a screen reader such as VoiceOver. That's next.

Pages run by others

Checkout is hosted by Shopify. Product add-ons like posts and house numbers are powered by an app partner, and reviews come from Judge.me. We choose these partners partly for their accessibility work, but we don't control their pages.
