The dimensions are reminiscent of mailboxes produced in the 50s and 60s when the ranch-style house, with a long low profile, was popular with the booming post-war middle class.

The production quality of this mailbox is amazing. I appreciate the thickness of the metal used and the quality of the paint. This could earn five stars if it had a flag option. As you can see, I should have ordered through the website instead of Amazon where this color was listed as “satin light green” when it should be seafoam green. It doesn’t match my house and I’ll need to address this issue some day in the future. Otherwise, it was easy to install and I am happy to support ModboxUSA.
